Canary Islands and Madeira on MSC Opera
A refined style, precious materials and attention to detail make MSC Opera a cruise ship that really is something to sing about! Built along more classic lines than her sisters in the Musica and Fantasia classes, making a special atmosphere onboard while enabling you to visit those destinations that are inaccessible to larger vessels.
Whether you are trying your luck in the Med Pearl Casino, relaxing in the La Cabala Piano Bar, dancing in the Byblos Disco, enjoying a show in the Teatro dell’ Opera, or browsing in the new walk-through shopping area, there’s never a dull moment on board.
We’ve teamed up with expert partners like Chicco, LEGO® and Namco® to create a series of superb new play areas for kids of all ages, including an exciting spray park, while teenagers can enjoy virtual reality gaming and their own exclusive clubs.
There are plenty of options for fitness and fun on board, with a double pool complex complete with whirlpool baths, a gym, power walking track, minigolf, shuffleboard, sauna, Turkish bath and the MSC Aurea Spa wellness center offering superb massages.
Stateroom doors are 35" and bathroom doors are 36". Cabins have fold down shower bench and a shower stool is available upon request. There are additional grab bars in the shower and raised toilet seats with grab bar. The safe is wheelchair accessible.
There is wheelchair access to all public rooms, but there is not elevator access to all passenger decks. You can not recharge wheelchair or scooters in the cabins.
Hearing impairment kits are available on demand, each kit is actually a suitcase filled with devices aimed to help out guests with hearing disability. Through lights and vibrations, they are notified when the alarm clock goes off, when the door bells, when the phone rings and even when the fire and the evacuate the boat alarms go off. Moreover, personal wireless amplifiers to be used in the theaters and the lounges are also available. Light indicators are available in elevators.
We advise guests using a wheelchair to travel with someone who is able to assist them both aboard and ashore. Some ports-of-call require tenders to go ashore and may preclude guests using wheelchairs from leaving the vessel; this decision must be made by the ship’s Master and is binding. Guests must bring wheelchairs for their own use. Only a limited amount of wheelchairs are available on board.
